This is a tiny back garden, waterlogged for most of the year and in constant shade. We took advantage of the natural conditions by creating a natural pond and surrounding it with moisture and shade loving plants. We also replaced a horrible wire mesh fence with a living willow hedge. A bench sits in the one corner of the garden that gets some sun and gravel allows the rain to drain away into the pond so that the garden can be comfortably walked through all year round.
